EHS Specialist (m/f/d) – Europe Region

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced and proactive EHS Specialist to support multiple sites across Europe in driving excellence in Environment, Health and Safety. In this international role, you will act as a trusted partner for local operations and management teams, ensuring that EHS standards, processes and initiatives are effectively implemented across the organization.

This position offers a high level of autonomy, broad exposure across different locations and the opportunity to contribute to a strong safety culture and sustainable business practices within an international manufacturing environment.

Your Responsibilities

Environment, Health & Safety

  • Support and drive the implementation of EHS standards, policies and management systems across multiple European sites
  • Promote a strong safety culture and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives with a focus on accident prevention and operational excellence
  • Support local teams with risk assessments, preventive measures and corrective actions
  • Investigate incidents and support root cause analysis and follow-up activities
  • Provide operational guidance and support to sites on EHS-related topics

Compliance & Management Systems

  • Ensure alignment with internal standards, legal requirements and EHS management systems
  • Support internal and external audits and ensure effective follow-up of actions
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of EHS strategies and initiatives at regional level
  • Support sites with country-specific and local EHS requirements

Sustainability & Improvement

  • Support environmental initiatives with a focus on resource efficiency, waste reduction and sustainability goals
  • Contribute to environmental and CO₂ reduction initiatives
  • Drive continuous improvement projects across sites and functions
  • Support Corporate Social Responsibility and sustainability-related activities

Training & Collaboration

  • Deliver EHS-related trainings and awareness activities
  • Work closely with local stakeholders, management teams and cross-functional departments
  • Support emergency preparedness and provide guidance on health and safety matters

Your Profile

  • University degree in Environmental Engineering, Safety Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Environmental Sciences or a comparable field preferred, not mandatorry
  • Around 5 years of experience within EHS, HSE or related functions, ideally within an international manufacturing environment
  • Good knowledge of EHS management systems and standards, especially ISO 14001 and ISO 45001
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively across different cultures and functions
  • Hands-on mentality combined with a structured and solution-oriented approach
  • Fluent English skills, both written and spoken
  • Willingness to travel occasionally across European sites (approx. 2 days per month)
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in an international environment
