Inside Sales Engineer

Our client is a well-established international manufacturer of electronic components used in critical applications such as EV charging infrastructure, industrial automation, medical equipment, energy systems and data centres.

To support continued growth in the Benelux market, they are looking for an Inside Sales Engineer to help grow the business and act as the technical and commercial point of contact for customers, distributors and prospective OEM clients.

 

This is an excellent opportunity for:

  • A junior sales professional with 2 years of experience in a technical B2B environment.
  • Or an experienced field sales professional who enjoys customer interaction but would prefer a predominantly office-based role.

 

Your Responsibilities

  • Develop and strengthen relationships with existing and prospective OEM and EMS customers (70%)
  • Proactively identify and generate new business opportunities across the Dutch and Flemish market (30%)
  • Qualify inbound enquiries and conduct outbound prospecting activities.
  • Promote a broad portfolio of electronic components and solutions.
  • Prepare quotations, follow up opportunities and support customers throughout the sales process.
  • Discuss applications and advise customers on products such as fuses, connectors, power entry modules, EMC filters and circuit protection solutions.
  • Support field sales colleagues by identifying and qualifying long-term design-in opportunities.
  • Manage and document customer activities and projects within the CRM system.

 

For smaller opportunities, you may manage the complete sales cycle remotely. For larger OEM projects involving long qualification and design-in cycles, opportunities will be transferred to the field sales team for further development.

 

Profile

  • Technical education preferred.
  • Experience in technical sales, inside sales, business development.
  • Experience within electronics, electrical components, industrial automation, electromechanical products or related technical industries.
  • Ability to understand technical customer requirements and translate them into commercial opportunities.
  • Proactive and commercially driven mindset.
  • Comfortable with outbound prospecting and business development activities.
  • Fluent Dutch and English are mandatory.

  • Salary approximately €4,000 to €5,000 gross per month – depending on experience.
