Software Testing Lead

Location: Limerick, Ireland

The Opportunity

We are looking for an experienced Software Testing Lead to lead quality assurance across a Manufacturing Execution System (MES) programme within a regulated manufacturing environment.

You will define the testing strategy, lead a team of testers, and work closely with development, DevOps, validation, and business teams to ensure high-quality software releases. Experience with enterprise MES platforms, particularly Emerson Syncade, is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the overall testing strategy for MES implementations and enhancements.
• Manage and mentor a team of test engineers.
• Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and regression testing.
• Work with development and DevOps teams to integrate testing into CI/CD pipelines.
• Manage defects, testing activities, and release quality using tools such as Azure DevOps or Jira.
• Support Computer System Validation (CSV) activities within a regulated environment.
• Produce testing metrics and communicate quality risks to stakeholders.
• Drive continuous improvement through test automation and best practices.

About You

You will have:

• Previous experience as a Software Testing Lead or Senior QA Engineer.
• Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies and Agile delivery.
• Experience with Azure DevOps, Jira, or similar testing tools.
• Experience within a regulated industry such as pharmaceuticals, life sciences, or medical devices.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Desirable

• Experience with Emerson Syncade or another MES platform.
• Knowledge of GxP, CSV, and GAMP 5.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and test automation tools such as Selenium, Playwright, or Cypress.
• Understanding of MES integrations with SAP and LIMS.
