HR Director – Scale-Up Environment

We’re partnering with a fast-growing, international tech-driven company to hire an HR Director to support its next phase of growth.

This is a key leadership role, working closely with the CEO and leadership team to shape and execute the people strategy in a dynamic, scaling environment.

The position requires a hands-on, pragmatic HR leader who can balance strategic thinking with execution, and operate effectively within the French legal and social framework.
 

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with the CEO and leadership team on all people-related decisions
  • Design and implement HR frameworks adapted to a scaling organisation
  • Lead organisational design and support business growth initiatives
  • Drive performance management and contribute to a strong company culture
  • Support international expansion (hiring, HR practices, local adaptation)
  • Manage employee relations within the French legal and social environment (CSE, labour law)
  • Lead and support change management initiatives (growth, restructuring, leadership evolution)
  • Build and improve HR processes with a pragmatic, test-and-learn approach
  • Stay close to the business, supporting key hires and sensitive people topics

 Profile

  • Proven experience in a senior HR leadership role within a scaling environment
  • Strong track record of building or transforming HR practices in companies under ~200 employees
  • Hands-on expertise in French labour law and employee relations
  • International exposure (multi-country hiring, cross-border teams, expansion)
  • Strong business partnering skills with senior stakeholders
  • Pragmatic, action-oriented mindset with the ability to operate in ambiguity
  • Comfortable combining strategy and execution
  • Languages: French and English required

Base salary: €70-80K or more (depending on location, seniority, and profile)
