PLC Automation Engineer – Automotive industry

As a PLC Automation Engineer, you assume a pivotal role within our dynamic team, leading the programming of PLC(s) and drives for designated projects. The position is hybrid based in Laatzen or Lohfelden.
Your responsibilities include determining PLC configurations for I/Os, networks, and cobots/robots if present in the project.
The responsibilities:
- Develop code for PLC(s) and drives in designated projects.
- Define PLC configurations for I/Os, networks, and cobots/robots.
- Ensure compliance with customer specifications to deliver project-specific solutions.
- Perform I/O tests, functional tests, and initiate machine startups
- Establish communication lines from the PLC to other systems at customer sites.
- Provide ongoing support and troubleshoot issues on machines at customer sites.
The profile:
- Industrial or automation engineer
- Knowledge of PLC controls
- Expert in Siemens S7 or TIA
- Rockwell, Allen Bradley or Siemens Simotions is a plus
- German fluent
- English B1-B2
- Sociable, communicative and team player
