Our client, a subsidiary of an international group (French group), is seeking to appoint a new Deputy General Manager to support the growth of its Congolese entity, which comprises over 500 employees.
The position offers a clear development path toward the General Manager role within 2 years.

Position based in Africa, specifically in Congo.
Main Responsibilities
1. Business Development

Define and steer the commercial strategy in coordination with the Group President.

Structure and manage client relationships based on proximity, listening, and satisfaction.

Oversee the preparation and validation of technical and commercial proposals.

Negotiate contracts in compliance with delegated authorities.
2. Operational Management
-
Establish activity forecasts and budgets for the entity, ensuring monitoring and updates.

Mobilize the human, technical, and financial resources required for project delivery.

Guarantee the proper execution of services in terms of safety, quality, deadlines, and costs.

Define the operational organization and supervise the preparation and follow-up of interventions.

Ensure compliance and prevention regarding workplace hygiene, health, and safety.
3. Cross-Functional Responsibilities

Apply and enforce internal policies and rules (safety, quality, ethics, CSR).

Manage social dialogue with employee representative bodies, in partnership with the HR Director.

Produce regular reports for the Group Management.
4. Leadership & Management

Define and implement the subsidiary’s organizational structure.

Lead and unite teams while maintaining direct and constructive communication.

Ensure compliance with social regulations and support the deployment of HR policies (recruitment, skills development, career management, mobility).

Travel is required as part of the role.
Profile Sought
Education: Engineering degree or equivalent.
Experience:
15 to 20 years in a general management or operational leadership role, ideally within industrial services or maintenance. Experience in offshore project management is a strong asset.
Skills:

Fluency in English + Italian, or Italian + French.

Strong strategic and operational leadership capabilities.

Excellent understanding of QHSE requirements.
