Senior Project Manager – Solar Public Lighting (Nigeria Assignment – 4 Months)

A leading French company specializing in public lighting equipment is seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee the operational follow up of a solar lighting project in Nigeria.

The Project
• Installation of 400+ solar streetlights along a 30 km highway leading to an international airport
• Equipment supplied by a French manufacturer, installation carried out by a local contractor
• High visibility project with institutional stakeholders, linked to an inauguration planned for December 2025

Mission Objectives
• Supervise on site installation works (nighttime operations – 4 to 5 local teams)
• Act as the primary point of contact for local authorities and represent the European supplier
• Ensure technical compliance and adherence to deadlines
• Monitor progress, handle unexpected issues, and provide regular reporting

Profile Sought
• Minimum 15 years of experience in public lighting and or renewable energy
• Strong knowledge of solar technologies, wiring, and multi stakeholder site supervision
• High level of autonomy and ability to manage a site independently
• Comfortable working in multicultural and institutional environments
• Fluent French and English required

Mission Conditions
• Duration: 4 months
• Start date: immediate or no later than October 1st, 2025
• Location: Nigeria
• Status: Independent consultant or umbrella company
• Package: accommodation and vehicle provided by the end client
• Compensation: to be discussed
