Role Overview
Our client is looking for a Sales Engineer with a strong technical background in industrial automation to join their team in Madrid. This role combines technical expertise and business development, working closely with engineering teams to deliver automation solutions tailored to industrial clients.
The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying opportunities, supporting clients in defining technical requirements, and developing automation proposals that improve productivity and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities

Identify and develop new business opportunities within industrial and manufacturing environments.

Provide technical consultation to clients regarding automation solutions and system integration.

Manage the full technical sales cycle, from initial client engagement to project handover.

Prepare and present technical proposals, system specifications, and commercial offers.

Collaborate with internal engineering teams to design automation architectures and solutions.

Support the implementation of projects involving PLC systems, industrial control systems, robotics, and process automation technologies.

Maintain close communication with clients during project development to ensure technical requirements are met.

Monitor market trends and emerging technologies related to Industry 4.0, digital manufacturing, and smart factory solutions.
Requirements

3–5 years of experience in industrial automation, technical sales, or automation engineering.

Background in Automation Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related technical field.

Solid understanding of PLC programming, SCADA systems, industrial control systems, robotics, or automated production lines.

Experience working with industrial clients, manufacturing environments, or system integrators.

Native Spanish and native-level English (both required).

Strong problem-solving, communication, and client-facing skills.

Ability to work in a multidisciplinary and international technical environment.
Travel & Working Model

The role requires approximately 30–40% travel to visit clients and support projects.

The remaining time will be split between office work in Madrid and remote work from home.
