Sales Representative – Life Sciences – Surgery

As Sales Representative, you will be responsible for achieving your sales target. you will implement a strategy to achieve a good sales volume, new clients, et increase of satisfaction for medical products and/or therapies assigned in your geographical area.


  • Achieve revenue, sales, profit & qualitative objectives and targets for the assigned therapies and / or medical products within own geographical or business area
  • Manage day-to-day relationships with assigned customers & plan visits with them
  • Build and develop professional long-term customer relationships
  • Prepare, implement and review targeted account plans aligned with the commercial policies
  • Plan and prepare for each customer visit and record outcomes in CRM system
  • Propose and provide each customer with appropriate solutions that will maximize opportunities both for the customer and the company.
  • Communicate all relevant information to existing and potential customers to guarantee their awareness of product portfolio and its benefits
  • Acquire new customers
  • Capture and maintain all relevant sales and customer data
  • Gather and share with other sales reps and with line management all possible information on market intelligence and competitor activities to help anticipate competitive moves
  • Maintain presence in all existing & target customers
  • Deal with customer complaints & implement corrective actions
  • Continuously assess the market for new customers / opportunities
  • Finalize budgets and forecasts in cooperation with line management / Marketing
  • Present Company products & their advantages, organize & distribute all needed promotional material and organize test usage where needed
  • Participate in congresses and other customer events
  • Provide customer training and support / assistance where needed
  • Works closely with Product Manager, Reps and Sales Support
  • Identify tender renewal and respond to tenders with support of line manager / Marketing


  • Bachelor’s degree required. Scientific or medical / paramedical degree is a plus – strong scientific background
  • Minimum 2 years of Sales experience within Healthcare Industry / Hospital environment / medical sales
  • Knowledge of Dutch is a clear advantage, any other language is a plus
  • Basic knowledge required regarding the Pack Office
  • Compliance with country specific requirements
  • Achievement of revenue and profit targets
  • Control of relevant budgets
  • Ability to apply scientific / clinical knowledge to support the customer
  • Ability to combine a commercial and an intellectual relationship with customer
