Our client, a key player in the energy systems market, is strengthening its team and recruiting a new talent: Product Manager – Generator Sets (M/F).
Reporting directly to senior management, you will contribute to the company’s business development, particularly in defining and positioning its products in the market. This role requires a strong technical background combined with a business-oriented mindset.

Your areas of focus include: product lifecycle management, pricing and profitability, technical and technological innovation, market positioning, value creation, and more.

Main Responsibilities

• Drive the company’s product strategy.

• Manage the full product lifecycle (market analysis, new product launches, phase-out planning, etc.).

• Evaluate product performance throughout its lifecycle and implement actions to achieve management objectives, in collaboration with your manager.

• Define product specifications in coordination with the Strategy Department, customer expectations, R&D, and market trends.

• Support strategic customers – develop partnerships and consolidate key client relationships.

• Manage market and product-related activities: cost reduction programs, cost control, pricing strategy, profitability analysis, etc.

• Lead new product integrations in collaboration with project and marketing teams.

• Define the product line strategy (market development, competition, customer expectations, etc.).

• Build a product innovation roadmap and define the added value for customers.

• Establish market positioning through targeted pricing, go-to-market strategy, and launch plans.

• Work closely with technical sales, customers, and R&D to define product strategy and portfolio evolution.

Profile

• Degree in Engineering or Business School with initial experience as a Product Manager (or similar role).

• Proven expertise in generator set applications (genset)

• Fluent in English and German.

• Strong technical culture allowing you to understand customer needs and provide effective solutions.

• Autonomous, rigorous, and a genuine team player, with solid general technical knowledge
