Import-Export Manager
Our client specializes in the international trade of fast-moving consumer food products. The company conducts import-export operations across various regions, with a strong commitment to quality, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
Main Responsibilities
1. Managing Commercial Operations
- Oversee and coordinate purchasing and sales activities for food products.
- Handle international sales transactions from initial negotiation to final delivery.
- Monitor customer and supplier orders, ensuring proper contractual agreements, invoicing, and adherence to Incoterms.
- Ensure smooth execution of logistics flows and compliance with all required documentation.
2. Business Development
- Identify and prospect new markets and partners (both clients and suppliers).
- Develop tailored commercial offers based on client needs and market dynamics.
- Negotiate pricing, contract terms, and build long-term trust-based relationships.
- Actively contribute to the company's growth strategy.
3. Overseeing Operations and Teams
- Supervise operational teams and ensure efficient task allocation.
- Guarantee adherence to deadlines and commitments for ongoing projects.
- Anticipate operational priorities and adapt to international market requirements.
4. Performance Monitoring and Issue Resolution
- Track key performance indicators (KPIs): volumes, costs, margins, and customer satisfaction.
- Resolve commercial and logistical disputes while identifying preventive solutions.
- Contribute to continuous process improvements to enhance the company’s competitiveness.
Required Skills and Expertise
- Proven experience in international trading, preferably in food products.
- Strong knowledge of import-export procedures, Incoterms, and international trade documentation.
- Skilled in negotiation and developing long-lasting partnerships in global markets.
- Ability to manage teams and juggle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Expertise in logistics processes, customs regulations, and related documentation.
- In-depth understanding of food product markets (seasonality, regulations, quality).
- Proficiency with business tools for transaction management and operational tracking.
Profile
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in International Trade, Business Management, or Supply Chain.
- Personal Attributes: Strong organizational and analytical skills, excellent interpersonal abilities, negotiation expertise, autonomy, and responsiveness to unforeseen challenges.
