Directly Reports to:
Head of research for grain and oilseed (based in Switzerland)

Reportees:
Local livestock and feed analyst in other countries

Job Purpose:
- Manage the research for the world livestock and feed Supply & Demand (S&D) in order to calculate the demand for the different main feed ingredients
- This role involves a middle term evolution as you will start to manage the following markets: India, Asia, Middle East EMEA

Responsibilities:
• To collect fundamental data from sources around the world in order to build and update the feed & livestock S&D matrix (short term forecast)
• To monitor feed ingredient substitutability and its impact on raw materials demand (short term forecast, linear programming)
• To analyze and monitor structural demand shift between countries and feed ingredients (long term forecast)
• To monitor livestock profitability around the world
• To manage feed & livestock research team in other part of the world where necessary (China for the moment)
• To work closely with other research team members as the ultimate goal is to incorporate the team analysis in the overall S&D

Education, experience, skills:
Master or PhD of science in animal nutrition or related field
3-5 years in feed formulation/analysis
Experience analyzing the concerned market preferred
Experience abroad a strong advantage

Manage a virtual organization
