PHP Developer / French Speaker – E-commerce compan

The client is a young start-up that specializes in e-business, including the creation of landing pages and web-design. Their added value: listen, share, understand, analyse, on the strength, digital and multichannel think, but mostly optimize the user experience to maximize the potential of your website regardless of medium (PC, laptop, tablet).

In order to complete their engineering development team, I am looking for a PHP Developer- in Dublin or Ireland.


You will be part of a 8 web developers team where you are in charge of designing, programing and delivering web development projects.

You team up with other PHP developers in order to deliver websites and web applications. Evolving in an agile environment, you will be responsible for the complete process from idea generation, requirements capture, technical design through to development with customer exposure.

Most of the developers are based in London, consequently you will be on your own within the first weeks and will work remotely with the team that you will visit on a monthly basis. Dublin technical team will expand in Q4.
Besides, regarding your seniority level, you might provide tactical application mentorship to the juniors.

What else it involves:
· Identify, communicate, and overcome development problems and creative challenges related to complex web and application-based projects
· Develop new features and websites with the use of modern PHP and Javascript frameworks
· Write clean, well-commented, and maintainable code in an agile environment.
· Work closely with both Designers and Developers to build responsive web applications in an agile environment
· Contribute towards design improvements and User Experience
· Discuss technical solutions with clients and provide innovative new ideas and solutions

Career progression: You can evolve within the company as Tech Lead or Project manager

Qualifications and technical skills

Preferred qualifications
• BSc. or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related technical field.

You have at least 4 years of experience in web development.

• Relational database experience such as writing select, insert and update statements.
• Proven experience with modern web standards and experience troubleshooting cross-browser compatibility issues.
• Experience using duplication technology such as copy and paste.
• Ability to multi task several projects simultaneously.
• Detail orientated, organised and the ability to meet deadlines.

• Applied knowledge web development process and demonstrated abilities to write and follow technical briefs, technical requirements, data schemas, and data descriptions
• Ability to accurately estimate the scope and effort required to deliver complex technical projects
• Strong customer focus and ability to meet their needs
• Excellent written and verbal English/French communication Skills

Technical stack

• PHP 7.1
• HTML 5, CSS3
• Angular 7, NodeJS, VueJS: All your experiences on these or other JS frameworks will be carefully reviewed.

• PHP framework such as Laravel would be a plus
• Jira,
• GIT Scrum / Agile,
• Slack
