Managing Director, UK (m/f)

Our client is a successful international company that connects management consultants and industry experts with companies of any size and sector ranging from startups and SME’s to multinational corporations.

With the objective to become the leading and major player of reference for consultants and businesses in Europe, our client is now looking to hire a Managing Director, UK who will be responsible for managing the company’s UK operations and growing revenue across the management consulting market.

The successful individual will be an entrepreneurial sales leader with a proven track record in business growth and an excellent understanding of the management consulting market.

Major Responsibilities:

• Expand sales operations in the UK and prospect for potential new clients
• Set a clear strategy and vision for the UK market
• Proactively reach-out to prospects within the management consulting market and build, maintain and develop a robust pipeline of top opportunities and active business accounts
• Have a strategic mindset and an account-centric strategy that constantly identify new market opportunities and drives constant improvement
• Build up, manage and grow a team of talented Business Developers
• Develop key relationships with journalists and media partners as much as possible
• Organise key events that will ensure brand visibility and promote the company’s services
• Regularly arrange and/or attend events including press and industry events or exhibitions.
• Responsible for negotiating media promotions and adverts
• Ensure you develop strong relations with all internal staffing teams
• Work closely with the internal marketing team to create campaign and marketing communication plans that drive successful results in the UK


• Between 7 and 15 years’ experience working in senior performance-driven sales roles in a management consulting services or a staffing and recruiting environment (contracts)
• Proven articulate leader with excellent sales, business development and communication skill set
• Hands-on leader that enjoys both operations and strategy
• Demonstrated experience in building strategic relationships, managing clients and pursuing new business.
• Established industry contacts
• In-depth journalist knowledge across the management consulting market
• A results-driven individual motivated by achieving goals
• Proactive and readily seeking to engage with new relationships in order to explore and initiate all new possibilities for growth
• Entrepreneurially minded with drive and vision, and ability to innovate in order to respond to new opportunities and challenges
• Demonstrated ability to build collaborative working relationships and to deal with complexity in the sales process
• Confident, persuasive, solution-oriented, with a consultative selling approach for interacting with decision makers in the C-Suite
• Strong people skills and a cooperative team player
• Energetic with a strong can-do attitude
• Autonomous, well-organized and able to prioritize among multiple projects with limited supervision
• Ready to travel (30/40%+)
• Native English speaker
• Bachelor’s degree in business required, MBA a plus

What's on Offer:

• £80-110k OTE uncapped plus equity, benefits
• UK-based role, home office for the first 3 months, preferably in or around London but can be anywhere in the UK
