HR Manager (H/F)

We are recruiting for our client (international company) based in Paris (1.500 employees in France), a HR Business Partner.

JOB PURPOSE
Within the French HR Team, to partner with the Head of HR and local ops management team to support and deliver the people strategy in line with the overall country and Operations Plan.

ACCOUNTABILITIES
Strategy
> Development and delivery of a people plan for respective perimeter which is aligned with the overall People strategy, People Plan and Country Plan and Ops Plan. Work with Headquarter team to understand functional priorities to ensure they are reflected in the country HR plan.
> Support the local Operational management team to deliver short and long term objectives, attending key operational management meetings as required.

Performance Management
> Support Line managers to drive a high performance culture to improve the service delivery for our customers through proactive management, effective performance management and coaching.

Employee Relations (ER)
> Lead and support the country employee relations agenda within strategies including collective bargaining negotiations and managing employee legal cases if needed.
> Working proactively with in country existing union groups and employee representative bodies including works councils and health and safety
> Ensure that time frames are met both as set by law, by agreement and by strategy
> Own the approach to employee consultation and engagement to ensure our people are appropriately involved and informed on business decisions which affect them

Recruitment
> Ensure a robust resource plan is in place to deliver perimeter people plan

Talent and Succession Planning
> Support the leadership/ management teams to build a succession and talent pipeline for critical roles and encourage cross functional internal moves to build breath of experience.

Learning & Career Development
> Highlight L&D requirements for country and market and work with Head of HR to identify approach on how best to achieve and implement
> Provide light touch learning and development interventions to support career development in functional areas for both current and future business needs

Organisational Development and Culture
> Provide OD advice to ensure any organisations are optimised, implemented correctly and integrated successfully.
> Partnering with the client area to develop an engagement and recognition plan to enhance communication and motivation within the employee area
> Be a leader by example displaying the values and cultural behaviour we wish others to demonstrate
> Demonstrate inclusive and fair behaviours spending time informally in the crew room with crew

Advice and Guidance
> Delivering proactive pragmatic support, advising line managers in the correct implementation of all the policies and practices, including the disciplinary and grievance policies where required
> Keep abreast of local legislative changes and issues which are pertinent to our operations in country so as to act as internal advisor. Use the above to ensure we apply pragmatic evaluation and solutions to emerging changes and ensure company documentation including the employee handbook is updated accordingly.

KEY SKILLS REQUIRED
The jobholder must have a thorough understanding of HR gained through a minimum of five years’ experience. In addition you will have;

> Experience of working with trade unions and good knowledge of social laws
> Experience of working within a matrix organisation
> A track record of delivery through influencing and building strong relationships
> Detailed working knowledge of in country employment law
> Experience of dealing with day to day issues which arise in an HR function in country
> Confidence in working in a dynamic fast paced and pressurised environment
> A track record of demonstrating the commercial value of HR interventions on an operational or project basis
> Strong business awareness and decision making ability
> A high level of internal customer focus with the ability to understand and deliver their needs
> The ability to communicate effectively with employees at all levels of the business
> A results-orientated approach, with the ability to drive and improve business performance from a HR platform
