Software Development Manager – FinTech

My client has offices in both The US and Dublin and covers more than 80 countries with their Compliance and Risk related products. They are committed to delivering easy to use SaaS platforms to their clients.In order to complete their development team, I am looking for a Software Development Manager to be based at their Dublin 12 office.

Duties

The main duty of the role is to manage a software development team composed of six Developers on site in Dublin and seven offshore in Bulgaria.

You will also be responsible for the following:

• Member of a Delivery Management team working with Architecture, Tech Ops, QA and Tech Ops department leads
• Detailed planning for development and process improvement using agile/scrum methodologies
• Oversight of sprint planning, scope, content and synchronize schedules with Product Management
• Establish standards and best practices in software development and ensure adherence to agreed development standards
• Participate in strategic, functional and technical design
• Participates in the financial management and budget process for own department

This position is equally split with management (50%) and technical skill (50%)

Qualifications and technical skills
Preferred qualifications
• BSc. or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related technical field.
• Strong analytical skills and a demonstrable bias toward action

Requirements
• Strong experience shaping and supporting a strong culture within a rapidly growing Agile organisation including CI/CD
•At least 6 years of experience in Java development
• Experience with managing Software Developers
•Experience with high-volume, SaaS, multi-tenant platforms
•A creative and effective history of building unique initiatives for employee learning and development.
