Recently Qualified Accountant

Our client is a leading financial company operating in 20 countries around the world and has a staff of about 15,000 employees.

The company current has over €7 billion of asset under management, and operates under freedom to provide services in a number of different countries across Europe.

The Finance Department here in Dublin plays an important role in the business. It is responsible for all the financial dealings of the company, control and mitigation of financial risk, reporting of financial performance, fund pricing and the fiscal reporting requirement of the company. The department currently consists of 10 members reporting to the Financial Reporting Manager, who in turn reports to the CFO.

Our client is now seeking to recruit a recently qualified or part qualified accountant who wants to apply their knowledge and gain experience in a small dynamic finance team who are responsible for all aspects of financial reporting in a fast changing regulatory environment.

Key responsibilities include:

• Support the preparation and reporting of all financial reporting
• Quarterly Forecasting and Budgeting
• Quarterly/Annual regulatory reporting
• Quarterly/Annual regulatory CSO returns
• Fiscal reporting to the local tax authorities in the jurisdiction we operate in
• Support the development of trainee accounts
• Driving the finance agenda in project teams/work groups
• Taking ownership of project work and deliverables
• Integrating new processes and continuous improvement of existing processes

Knowledge and Experience:

• Recently qualified or part qualified accountant (close to final stages of exams)
• 2-3 years’ experience Financial Services
• Solvency II experience would be an advantage
• Be a problem solver and ideally have knowledge of the regulatory requirements in the industry that may impact on the business
