Data Analyst/Scientist – Major End-client Supply c

Major company in the retail sector, they design, produce and distribute added-value products around the world. Today they are expanding their worldwide Logistic and Supply-chain Centre based in Dublin.

In order to complete their Supply-Chain planning team, I am looking for a Data analyst / Demand planner with technical skills in Dublin city center.


Among a four people team, you are in charge of defining sales forecasts for existing products, collecting, checking and analyzing all necessary information in order to increase forecasting accuracy and improve service level.

Your internal clients are the line managers from the different business departments (Marketing, Sales, Production, Manufacturing). You act as pivot in order to integrate it in the global forecast, improving novelties forecasting methods.

Regarding the data, your technical background allows you to extract, mine and analyze them in order to maintain and improve the Forecasting tool.

Other accountabilities:
 Define and monitor KPI’s related to demand planning and actual sales (forecast accuracy).
 Support the manager in the monthly and quarterly demand reviews and proactively prepare the monthly forecast meeting
 Define in detail the sales forecast plan by area and channel
 Implement gap analysis between forecasts and sales, identify causes and propose solutions for improvement.
 Review and update forecasting models according to distribution channels and business needs.

The role is in between Project management (80%) and technical (20%).

Qualifications and technical skills

Preferred qualifications 

• BSc. or Master’s degree in Computer Science or statistics.
Project Management Requirements

 At least 1 year of experience in Demand Planning
 Knowledge of main operational/logistics flows and procedures
 Good project management skills
 Knowledge of planning techniques and models
 Simulation and scenario analysis/handling

Technical stack and requirements
 MS Office Knowledge of programming language (preferably Python / R)
 Statistics technique
 Quantitative data analysis

Fluent in English, a second language is a plus (French, Italian). 

You also have to be a Stamp 4 holder. My client will not provide any sponsorship.
